{day 26...i'm dying here!}

hey all...day 26 and STILL NOTHING! i'm going crazy! monday will be one month! if i haven't heard anything by monday evening, i'm emailing my recruiter to see what the heck is up. just wanted to check in and say hi and that i'm still alive, trying not to obsess and failing miserably. i just keep reminding myself that if i had been rejected, i would have heard by now. right? right. i'm just going to go with that theory.

{day 20 and still waiting}

hey all. i know i haven't posted in a while, but i'm really enjoying the vlogging more than the blogging. i've done two vlogs since my last post - you can check them out at my youtube if you want to watch them.

so, a TON of people have gotten their folders - i think about 25 people at this point - including Cait, Evan, Dana (apartment mate love!), and Lauren (though Lauren got accepted for Spring Advantage, which is just weird, so we have to see how that plays out), plus a ton of other people I can't remember right now. i'm so excited for everyone, but i'm definitely wicked jealous...i want MY folder too! Stacey and I both interviewed on feb. 2nd, so I think we'll get ours the same day - she thinks the 23rd. mine will probably get here the 23rd and then sit in the mailroom for two days before they finally shove it into my mailbox. stupid mailroom. :(

the chatroom last night had some issues, but we used our awesome teamwork and worked it out. i wish i went into the chat more often - it is so much fun to talk to you all about whatever random stuff is happening.

so yeah, that is whats up...nothing too exciting...you'll know when i got my folder because my blog entry will just be a bunch of capslocked mess that day lol.

{day 15...still no word!}

{day 9...my campus...}

That was yesterday. I actually had a scare about 15 minutes after I uploaded that vlog - my boyfriend called from our student union building and told me I had a package slip in my mailbox (there wasn't one that morning when I checked). I started freaking out, so he went to the mailroom to see if he could pick the package up for me, and once he got it he was like 'its not disney...' it was horrible. Ugh. I wonder how I'm going to make it through the rest of February.

{vlog numero tres!}

{a case of the mondays...}

so, today is my first day of class of my last semester of college! scary! luckily i only have one class, but unluckily, its geology. :(

also, my computer flipped out last night, but this morning i ran a scan on it and its fine now. i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it keeps working. i want to do another vlog later today, and i can't really upload it if my computer is dead, huh? i think i'm kind of addicted to this vlogging thing, by the way - watching them and making them. they're so much fun!

i have to get to class, but i'll 'see' you all later. :)

{day 1...}

...and the wait for that darned purple folder is killing me!

Looking on the bright side, my dad's assistant faxed my role checklist this morning, so now everything really is done. I'm really hoping that my interviewer was right about finding out by the end of February...if not I'll definitely be going crazy.

As for my non-Disney life (hard to believe, right?), I got a ton of stuff that I need for my thesis today at the thrift store, so that's awesome. I got enough wallpaper for the walls (I'm 98% sure it's enough), and a sweet side table, plus a really gorgeous lamp (of course it doesn't work, so the bf or his dad will be rewiring it)...I also got a few really cute tea cups. My thesis is based around Alice in Wonderland, if you couldn't tell already, and I'm sure I'll be writing more about it as time goes on...mostly about how stressed out I am about it, lol (ok, its not that hilarious, I actually had a panic attack about it the other day, but otherwise its fine lol).

In other fun news, my dad, the bf, and I are seeing Wicked on Thursday - 5th row orchestra! I haven't seen Wicked in sooo long, so I'm pretty psyched about it.

'See' you all around soon!

{the wait begins...}

well, i had my interview today with christy/kristi/however you spell her name (her name has become somewhat of a joke on the facebook group, lol). anyway, she was really nice and easy to talk to, and the interview was was quicker and less intense than i thought it would be. she didn't ask me about my favorite character or rides, but for attractions she asked where i'd like to be, and i said hollywood studios. i didn't even get the space mountain question! but we spent most of the 'role' time talking about photopass - how i'm used to the equipment and carrying it around, etc - so i'm really hoping that when i get that purple folder it will say photopass: hollywood studios. she told me i'd know by the end of february, so i only have to wait three and a half weeks tops. i'm already dying! at least i'm not nervous anymore.

i probably should introduce myself too, huh? i'm emily, a senior studio art major at hartwick college in oneonta, ny. i have two concentrations - photo and digital art, but photo is really my passion. i'll be graduating in may, and i know that i'm not going to grad school anytime soon, so i knew this was my last chance to do the college program. the economy is dead anyway, so i figured this was my best option lol. at first, when i filled out the application, it was more of an alternative incase i couldn't find a job/paying internship anywhere, but as the days passed and i got closer to my interview and got to know some of the people on the facebook group, i realized that it wasn't an alternative at all but actually my first choice. my dad is definitely a little skeptical, but that's too bad lol - everyone else has been majorly supportive. i know it will be hard to be away from my bf for 5 months - we've practically lived together for almost 3 and 1/2 years now, but we can make it work. he'll just have to come visit me.

anyway, enough rambling. i'll check in soon, when i have more to report. :)
